"Autoreverse" is the infamous episode 12 of Samantha's Special Effects Show. A promo video for Glitch's new album on Nano Records. Strong references to the 80's, a trashy aftertaste and cheap ass special effects.

An homage to German expressionism of the early 20th century (Metropolis, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari). It's a story about medicine, alchemy and transformation. Lioness lead singer, Vanessa Fischer, dreams from the operating table, whilst receiving a mechanical heart. It was directed by Jeff Scheven of the band, who has directed videos in the past by TV On The Radio, The Organ, Moneen and Controller.Controller.

Does anyone know the technique used to create this incredibly washed out film look. I think its a special type of stock myself, but pretty sure its not reversal, so whaddya reckon, any clues?
