i don't mind siega's weezer videos. they're nothing special, but they work.binkystick, April 4, 2005 7:33:48 AM CEST
holy awfulness....Siega has not made one good video for Weezer ever. WHY do they keep hiring him?!captainmarc22, April 4, 2005 8:46:37 AM CEST
I always thought that when a band has to remake a video (i.e. "Island in the Sun") the rule is that they never can/will work again with that first director. I heard this was a concept Marcos Siega orginally wrote for Limp Bizkit.

hash pipe, island in the sun, keep fishin', this... they keep hiring him because his videos are energetic, inoffensive, competent and shot with that mtv sheen. i'm generally a big believer in 'good enough isn't good enough', but for some reason i give siega a break.i find it amusing how the playboy brand has slowly become disney, and the playboy mansion has slowly become disneyland. i've read that the band were uncomfortable at the mansion, that would've been fun to see in the video.

I dunno, ournameismud, Rivers never looked comfy there to me. I could see his inner nerd screaming, "I wish I never left my safe garage!" the whole time. Or maybe that's just what I wanted him to scream.reluctantfish, April 7, 2005 9:19:02 PM CEST
every since Rivers disowned Pinkerton, it's all been downhill. i think romanek's for 'el scorcho' was the last really good video. i can't beleive that they didn't take this premise into irony-land even once (which in and of itself is played out). the straighforward and lame declaration of the chorus is just as puzzling as this single layered video. they shouldn't even be called Weezer anymore. They should be called "Weezer".hijed, April 7, 2005 10:14:44 PM CEST
This is a piece of garbage. Weezer is done. Remember when we would sing along to every single song on the blue album? REMEMBER THAT?!?!?
