Eskimo Disco/Perfect Perfect/Wes West at Sherbet


Using a combination of live action and animation, Sherbet director Wes West created his latest promo for Emperor Record artists Eskimo Disco. The Promo and single is due for release at the end of the year.

i wish it had unfolded a little beyond the little show. like, he sets up the show and then two of the little people fall in love or something. it feels like set up with no pay-off.
         
I agree with salad fingers.

good: idea is cool, nice, simple and sweet.

bad: definitely was waiting for a pay-off. feel like it was so close, yet fizzled out on the ending. he shoulda cut up the other dudes he thought was macking on the girl he liked. be funny if the girl was his roommate or something and she caught him fantasizing with her pictures.

nice idea though.
         
really liked the styling&framing.

for once, i actually liked that it went nowhere, there's this static quality in the track &evrything else.

but the snoot on that guy? yech.
         
i think it could have paid off with something in that same sort of static quality, but instead it was muddled.
         
I am really beginning to be turned off by"stop-momtion" esk styled videos, they're are everywhere and the good ones are few and far between/.
         
this was very enjoyable -- well done
         
I like this idea but there was something about the anally tidy ikea flat at the start that alientated me. For my taste, it was a sweet lo-fi idea done a little too slick. (Maybe thats because I'm a scruffy bugger who's secretly jealous of tidy people).
