not JUST weird (although this video is fucking creepy):mr. ross makes full use of the medium, adds another dimension to the song, executes a clever premise, and elicits an off-center emotional response.
to me that's a recipe for good video.
i understand jonnie got some of those puppets from this crazy guy who uses them on his real (christian?) cable access show in LA.

The cable access guy is David Hart. I've seen his show (he also likes to sing outside the Hollywood Bowl as attendees are leaving). He is a very odd man. It's funny that this video uses his puppets because Hart himself has some weird obsession with white people. Here's a bit more info on him:www.losanjealous.com
