Incredibly hideous art direction.Everyting looks cheap. If the budget is too tight, why make a video with (crappy) effects? This had the perfect resource in creating something great: Zooey Deschanel, but she is wasted here.

Thought it was ok for what it is. Though pretty sick of ace norton doing dead people and zombies etc.... His videos are starting to all look the same. Somebody should tell him to take a break and watch some new movies so he can acquire (or rip off) some different references. Love Zooey, love Matt Ward, really like album...hate this video. Like really hate it. Zooey appears to receive no direction at all and is accordingly insufferable, the tone is a terrible match and the blood is just stupid. Was there seriously not a better idea than this submitted? i hate this type of stuff, hate the type of art direction...but somehow i really like this video.its purposely bad, is it not? Tongue in cheek? That doesn't mean its a good idea therefore, but it ends up being kind of cute, largely because she's so charasmatic i suppose. the bit where she is singing but the sync is not right towards the end sums it up for me.
hard for me to comment, i really like the song.
but, i came away liking the song more, so job done i guess.
