Britney Spears - Womanizer (Dir: Joseph Khan)

We always heard revenge was a dish best served cold. That is, until Britney Spears cranked up the heat on her mercury-busting new video, “Womanizer.”

Perhaps you saw the new video on 20/20 tonight, but you definitely didn’t see the three-time VMA winner get as nasty, naughty, and naked as she gets in this too-hot-for-network-TV director’s cut version of her “Womanizer” video, off her upcoming studio album, Circus.

VMA winner Joseph Kahn (who directed her “Stronger” video, and “Toxic,” and won the Pussycat Dolls a VMA for their “When I Grow Up” video) directed Britney’s new video, in which she gives a copy machine a run for its money, upgrades her waitressing skills from her “(You Drive Me) Crazy” days, downgrades her chauffeuring skills, and shows off almost every everlovin’ last inch of her stronger-than-ever body. (Seriously, this version of “Womanizer” makes “I’m a Slave 4 U” look like an episode of Boobah.)

Watch Britney serve up the sexiest dish of revenge you’ve ever seen in her brand-new video, “Womanizer.”

I guess I'll start this off.

Piece of shit.

kee, 11. October 2008, 09:15
This isn't bad by any means, but it's no "Toxic" that's for sure. I wish they amped it up a lot more. Faster cuts, better styling (the office Britney is not attractive at all), and more energetic choreography.

jhonnnnny, 11. October 2008, 11:06
the rapidshare download isn't the director's cut, for the record. it's the softer version.

progosk, 11. October 2008, 11:12
is someone paying you to post these, simon?

scooper, 11. October 2008, 12:02
i heard that simon jello has had a musical lobotomy and uses his nose to post stuff on the internet...maybe we should post thrash metal videos onto his site. If you google him, he appears to be quite a nuisance on other forums too...

Totaly Crap. Britney naked in a sauna. As a Waitress. In a Office. People Dancing. Men Faces looking sexy/shocked. Pulling on clothes.

Than a car in a tunnel and the driver is Britney... and the man looking shocked. What happened? A cut later noone is driveing the car. And than... ähm. Back in to the office. And a cut back to Britney naked.

And END.

Is there a story?

WOMANIZIER WOMANIZER YOU ARE A WOMANIZER WOMANIZER WOMANIZER...

SHUT THE FUCK UP. AAAAAARGGGGG.

true_fiction, 11. October 2008, 19:12
I'm going to say that this is a return to form for Britney. Her videos from the last album were garbage (i dont know how she won for "Piece of Me" at VMA's). Joseph Kahn and Britney are a good mix. Kahn can pan a camera like no one else.

There's no doubt that it's the best Britney video since her last team-up with Khan. I love the shot of her driving with her heel.

spreech, 11. October 2008, 20:54
Britney, back to work - great!

otc, 11. October 2008, 22:55
Aren't you guys being a bit harsh on this? This is way better than that Katy Perry video.

therevolution, 12. October 2008, 03:32
for the state of pop music videos these days this is a work of fucking art. i'm also a britney/kahn fan though, so go figure - but c'mon - the duo is like bread and butter.

moonman, 12. October 2008, 07:49
so 90's... and early 2000, do we need more of these videos?

jesse.ewles, 12. October 2008, 23:10
Why do company bother putting regional locks on their content. It's completely useless.

You gotta love that cell phone product placement. When it pushes into a close-up of the phone look down at the bottom..."10:15am Product Placement Meeting". Not to mention that the date is April 20th on the calendar aka 4/20 aka 4:20 aka drug reference aka awesome.

c-dub, 13. October 2008, 23:24
as a pop video, that shit was fukn excellent. Shit was thoroughly entertaining. This is what you expect from a britney spears vid and it delivers. JK seemed to hold back a bit on the crazy graphics shit he does, but the times he did were nice touches. I cant help but think i would liked to seen this video thru Francis Lawrences eyes, but solid video...

Oh man. I just can't WAIT to see the unveiling of that masterpiece that the NEUROMANCER film is likely to be, under Mr. K's artful hand!

needz more stop motion or back projection plz! i wish it were more like 90's Warp Recordz videos :(

kevathens, 17. October 2008, 02:53
JK's chops are good enough that he really could carry a blockbuster and nail it. I don't know wtf happens in Hollywood, but if there were less bullshit I'm sure he could get some really good stuff up there on screen.

robsnolca, 22. October 2008, 14:26
errr. with so many FANTASTIC videos out there not getting airplay or proper exposure, do we need to see this posted on Antville?

msm, 16. November 2008, 17:44
mp4, such a great weird video

vidbot, 16. November 2008, 18:08
Last I checked Neuromancer was still stuck in development hell with no sign of any serious movement.

And here’s hoping that (all fingers and toes crossed while rapping all available wooden surfaces closing eyes to avoid seeing black cat while watching out for ladders and mirrors) that it stays that way until Mr Khan realizes "Hey im really out of my depth! Neuromancer what was I thinking?" and moves on……
………………….
Alfonso Cuarón
Wong Kar-wai ( it is essentially a love story?)
Andrew Dominik
Joseph kosinski (TR2N & Logans run pending)

Mamoru Oshi (Longshot)

if anyone was able to adapt it for the big screen, that should be cunningham. too bad it didnt work out between him and gibson, though

vidbot, 16. November 2008, 18:39
Agreed.

At least it seemed to end amicably, the fact that paring didn't make it shows it should never really be made into a film anyway. However being it Hollywood some producer/rights owner will have a bee up their ass to get it done and if they do I just hope they get someone who will do the material justice.

familiar, 16. November 2008, 18:42
Terry Gilliam please. Then the making-of would be at least as - if not more - entertaining than the movie itself.

najork, 16. November 2008, 19:58
Lynne Ramsay anyone?
Or Rian Johnson? Based on 'Brick' I'd say he could do something really cool with it.

Cuarón would be great for pretty much anything at this point.

can lynne handle cyberpunk?
riddley scott when he was junger and the counter culture ruled the earth?

najork, 16. November 2008, 20:44
Lynn can handle harrowing 1st person drug stuff. A somewhat out-there suggestion, but no more than Kosinski really.

Scott, Oshii, Gilliam have all done their thing with this sort of material already IMO.

my name is legion, 16. November 2008, 20:53
yeah, and besides i think terry gilliam would be more fit for steampunk
