always one attuned to the times he lives in - like any other image conscious ARTIST would be - marylin manson is trying to escape the end of the world, as the movie forewarns
         
Watching this I'm reminded of the days when MM used to have good videos. Of course you'd have to surrender some control to a real filmmaker to achieve this. But his insistence on controlling every portion of his image has fallen short with the last few videos he's made.
         
I actually thinks this is an important piece of music video. It adresses the new status of the format and the participatory culture of the Internet.
