What happened to the Directors Bureau roster?
Kris Moyes is no longer represented by them. Why?
Is he no longer doing music videos after that Franz Ferdinand fiasco?

According to the grape vine Kris was halfway through post production on a video for the song 'Ulysses'. When Franz saw some drafts they started to question the artistic direction of the video. From there the artistic tastes of Kris and Franz were divided by a fork in the road, both parties unwilling to compromise. This clash of two powerful egos (Kris and Alex) ended in severe arguments and name calling.

The tame version of this story is that the budget ran dry in post production and no more money was forthcoming thus the video was simply 'shelved'. However Franz did seem to come up with the cash to make another video with the directing collective 'Thirty Two'.

Since this incident at the beginning of the year Mr Moyes hasn't made a single music video. However he has been quite busy in the commercial world.

I am just wondering why The Directors Bureau would drop him from their roster? or did Moyes drop them?
         
he's made a couple of mediocre french spots this year through telecreateurs. can't blame him for cashing in though.
         
I'm just going to say now that I bet that the 'severe arguments and name calling' bit is complete bullshit.
         
Whatever happened (if anything did), I hope Kris does more music videos soon. I love his work.
         
the band simply didn't like the video. it was a total green screen shoot and a very arty concept, based on the work of some artist who i can't remember right now. oh, and it went way over budget, so they pulled the plug after 2 months of post.
         
Whatever. The question is why did The Directors Bureau stop representing him?
