Martin de Thurah's post-pubescent followup to "Human"

kind of a tricky choice, to even attempt a sequel (of sorts...)

good casting, some nice tricks with the light. definitely less gripping than human. also: these carpark guys are pretty lucky to get such quality work for their... rather mediocre tracks (imho).

         

i agree not as profound as human, but I disagree that their music is mediocre, I think it is quite good for what it is. In comparison to human, I found some of this coming across as too contrived, as in "turn head now" or "look emotionless" which resulted in me not getting as engaged with the clip as I did with human. The part with the robot is genius and again the cinematography, the lighting; impeccable and still a clip that stands out from the rest.

         

I'm really a fan of Carpark North.I'm into the 80's synth sound I also like the vocoded section it's very retro 90's.I agree that this video isn't as good as the "human" video for all the same reasons as you guys have mentioned.But I have watched this video a number of times already because I still think it's better than anything you'd see on MTV. I love the chick running down the hall in her purple shirt,she looks great.on the topic of clothing I noticed that in the video the people are wearing colourful/patterned clothes,wherease in the "human video" the only coloured article of clothing was a pair of blue socks on the feet of the kid at the end.I love the scene of the girl in front of the fan.but as far as the lighting effects go they bore me.I don't know why,but I think the video would be tighter if it didn't have those dark scenes with the moving light,the only exception would be the scene in which the shadow of a tre cas ton a building goes sliding smoothly along.That's quite beautiful.I don't really like the actor in the yellow shirt,he seems totally unnatural to me in all of the shots he's included in,escpescially near the end when he's bobbing his head ack and forth.I don't like the girl holding the bunny,it seems very much like something you'd see in an investment group advertisment,kinda cheesy.I actually think more good about this video than I do bad,I think it's a great follow-up video to "human" and I like the song better.but it has to be said,the whipped cream on that strawberry is watery looking.......

         

why'd I say "blue socks"?I've seen the video a hundred times,you'd think I couldv'e remembered that they're actually red.I could see them clearly in my mind and they were blue.....
