i think killakillafornia must be in some kind of psychedelic state to think that VanGaalen is ripping off patterson.but thanks to his madness we have been introduced to patterson who is totally awesome.

Thanks for the link to Patterson’s work. Its great – I had never seen it before. However, having had a flick through some of his work I see that he relies on repetition to create these creative motifs and the style of drawing is not so close to VanGaalen’s at all. Saying that VanGaalen is a “rip-off” because he uses amorphous images, like Patterson does, is like saying Jonas Odell is ripping off Max Ernst, or Patterson is ripping off Robert Crumb or Taiyo Matsumoto with his thick wobbly lines. killakillafornia, how can you say "no respect"? i guess you don't even know what the word respect means. There could be some similarities to patterson work, but saying that to such an amazing and visionary amount of work is bullshit.
