Nada Surf "Always Love" by Greifer & Krötenbluth
watchable take on the band-in-a-forest thing

I've always hated straight up performance videos, and I don't much like seeing the band doing that part of the time either. We all know they can play their instruments. The video should've been the set-up with the TVs (incorporating some story in the first half that would pay off later) and then breaking out with the band playing on the screens like it does at the end. It's great to see all the TVs light up, but then there's no real pay off of anything.
Also, can I just ask? What is the deal with bands performing in the woods? There was a string of like 10 videos over the past 10 months of groups performing in the woods. wasn't really a good idea the first time.
the presumed saving grace here is that this was shot in a lithuanian forest, home to the largest sculpture made with television sets in the world (certified by guinness b.o.w.r.).
not having known this while watching, i liked the underside side of america it seemed to portray (as well as the colour-grading).
I felt it was fairly weak. Banks of televisions don't mask the fact it's still a performance video - in the woods no less. Orginallity through brute force.
