Audioslave - "Doesn't Remind Me" - Directed by Chris Milk
.
LOVE IT- CHRIS MILK IS THE BEST.
Pretty cheesy video.
Love is a strong word. I thought it was pretty okay, maybe even pretty good? Surprisingly good anyway, I usually don't like his stuff.
Love is never too strong if it's true.
...pretty impressive. Is Audioslave so big that they don't need to be in it? I guess so. Maybe that's a good thing.
Awesome video
I think we should all take a cue from Mr. Milk and try to infuse some politcal action into our work. We got to do something about this current administration, and I think that it is really brave by the band, director, and label to comment on the fact that we are at war and that there are soldiers dying. In addition to all that, it's a beautiful video, and so amazing for a major American band to have a narrative video with no performance.
wow. this moved me to tears. hats off mr. milk. that was beautifully cast, shot, told/edited, everything. wow.
it´s cheesy. some slowmotion, filter, ... i don´t like Chris Milks work. don´t know exactly why. but i don´t like him.
luk, pants, how jaded can you get?
it's a boy's vision about his dead father. how would you suggest it be told?
The scene with the rain moving on the car window would alone justify the vid. That brought back some memories.
There is a bit of a Michael Bay aftertaste, but that is fine for this scale.
Reuben, do you think someone of opposite politics could see what they want in this video too?
This is far more nuanced and interesting than any other politically-themed video from this year. I like it.
So i admit that upon first tv viewing I was not entirely sure how I felt about this video, aside from the time capsule quality, which is excellent to be sure. However, upon repeated viewings, I think this is really emotionally full and politically worthwhile. Obviously these qualities are not exactly the prime currency of the video world, but I think its worth noting that in a field masturbatorily obsessed with the notion of being merely clever, its really nice to take the opportunity to go beyond that. Good for you Milk. Good look too, Hussey's work?
i think its a good video. Love the boxing scene!
it could have been cheesey. but it was not. very well directed. very pretty as well. i think i liked it alot......it's some heavy shit.
what is it with the yanks and chris milk? we think his work is mediocre and derivative but mtv usa seems to lap it up
Is that the "royal we" wiggle? I'm english and I think chris milk's work is stellar
