Lovely! i doubt it was made for a 'coupla grand'. i suppose it can be true but that may be good publicity. i think they have had some money spent on them, it is very pretty though and im not sure how it is all done overall. some of it looks real and kind of eighties but in a good way it suits it.

i think it looks great! very easy to watch.

but i doubt it cost $2K.

         

this is very reminescent of the stokes 12:51 video, that was all tron'd out. i dont like his brit-cut,

         

Lightastic! Really simple fresh idea (tho i havent watched the strokes) and beautifully paced. i dont know that the money involved should always be such an issue when the directions as tight as this. it does look expensive i think. i'd suggest the flame time alones gonna bump this over the $20k mark. it also looks like they got alot of cameras going on in the original shoot - im down with gwan though - shame about the hair! Maybe they shoulda spent more time compositing another band in there. Some ladies perhaps - ark ark

Its Up The Resolution helmed by Merlin Nation from Brighton. Budget probably was £2k (about $3,500) for a DV shoot and then favours blagged in flame as the company is known for animation and web design.

I think this is an excellent video but a totally shit song.

         

Thought we better clear a few things up about the vid. For the record the budget was more than 2k but much, much less than 20k, we shot on beta (one camera) and no favours were blagged in flame as it wasn't used at all,it was done entirely in house, just lots of hard work in after effects. We weren't aware we were known for web design as we've never designed websites, Merlin used to but he stopped because he got fed up with it and started UTR with Dom & Griff. Fantastic. Took a look at the site in terryakis post too & worth doing for their promo for Boom Bip which is real different but really very beautiful stuff.
