You Are My Sister (updated version)

directed by esteemed film director and video artist Charles Atlas. Antony previously collaborated with Charles Atlas at the 2004 Whitney Biennial to stage a 3 night sold-out concert and live video installation called "Turning" which featured Antony and the Johnsons playing before a cast of 13 slowly revolving beauties.

and from my searching I find out that one of those beauties turns out to be Joey Gabriel. The subject of the brilliant Hope There's Someone video.

for personal reasons. i love this vid. it made me cry. i love my sister too. she's my best friend.

Are all the subjects really men?

1manguy, I think you're mixing up Joey Gabriel and the stunning Joie Iacono, who is a generation younger.

Gorgeous video, haunting song, and Boy George hasn't sounded that good in ages. I just watched the video 3 times in a row. Thanks for putting it up.

there are actually two joeys in the video... one is joie Polaroid AKA Joie Iacono and the other is, in fact, Joey Gabriel from the Hope There's Someone video.

Both are equally fabulous and amazing and personal friends of mine.

so I guess they decided to re-edit the video to focus more on the "beauties" and less on Antony and Boy George. perhaps because of his recent legal troubles? The original video will be missed. R.I.P. :( but the new video is equally praiseworthy.
