The Phoenix Foundation "All in an Afternoon" Directed by Luke Savage
Done in 3 weeks using stop motion in collaboration with Flame artist Puck Murphy at Perceptual Engineering in Auckland New Zealand.
begining and end were cool, nice punchy scribbles and line tracing. inbetween: graphic text matching lyrics is nearly always a dull time filler, but at least, visually consistent with the rest of the vid.
the real challenge would have been to go lines, scribbles and pure graphics all the way - it's an unusual medium pretty much everyone's familiar with, and spent hours poring over, so i'm sure you could have made three neo-fischinger minutes' worth.
the band hybrided in there looked pretty out of place.
unlucky track too - plus sutherland's previous one for phoenix foundation was admittedly a hard act to follow all round...
