I'm beginning to agree with lusk81 here that it should perhaps be called 'most disappointing.' 'Worst' is a really hard, unnecessarily cruel thing to hear when you've put your heart and soul into something.

Maybe we shouldn't do a worst poll after all, Progosk? I'd feel awful for something someone worked really hard on to be crowned Antvillean Worst of 2005, no matter how uninspiring or off the mark. Especially since videos are often affected by labels and other forces of commerce/nature.

         

well, there's a subtle difference. i think it's a kind of false paternalism to feign mere disappointment. some of these nominees suck on various levels and deserve their specific moniker. mi dos pesos.

         

It's a tough call. I guess since Antville is what it is - a place for strong critique - we should keep it as 'Worst'? But I don't feel crowning 'Worst' is necessarily constructive criticism.

Any video that can get a callous grown man to cry in under four minutes gets my vote.

But I have to agree with kevathens, calling something that someone poured their heart and soul into, regardless of the outcome, "the worst" is both mean, and wicked bad karma. No "worst" vote from me.
