i have heard so many good things about grizzly bear that this video somewhat surprises me, i don't dig it much. i'm probably a stickler for making the best with what you have, and it looks like the editor didn't de-interlace the video footage when he exported, so right off the bat, i wasn't feeling it. the freeze framing of the maneqin at times to more easily (and steadily) overlay the singer onto his body is another quirk for me; they could have easily used a tripod for the shot. i did, however, appreciate the set design, and the model of the human body itself was pretty cool. maybe this video fits grizzly bear's aesthetical sound very well, maybe not. what this video did do is make me want to listen to graizly bear's albums and decide for myself if i like the band as a whole.

I dunno. I think you guys are missing the point. I think the effects are supposed to be hokey. Look at the end of the video- It's nice to see a video that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's like an Ed Wood movie or something. I like it.

Did any of you check out "smithcorey's" awful xiu xiu video? It's like 50 times worse than this. The GB video might not look great, but at least it's not totally unoriginal and boring. How many "Barbie Gone Bad" videos does the world need. Grizzly Bear rocks.

it's really budget, but it's pretty funny. i've seen them live, the whole band is cute. this video just makes people look, not so hot
