Jane Lloyd - Dir: HAPPY
Excellent short film by Happy which I have heard on the grapevine is being made into a David Grey video. Here's your last chance to enjoy it in all its brilliant original glory.

already discussed here...
After 15 seconds of watching it you already know how it ends. Whats the point?
are we supposed to care about her because she was once a cute baby? its message is way too sentimental and has been told in about every vh1 special.
cynics!
i thought it was great.
sorry but a cynic isn't someone who calls out shit for being shit. cheers anyhow
you know what else a cynic doesn't do? edit his message after the fact so as to throw the ensuing replies out of context. no, a douchebag does that.
but yeah, cheers!
I thought it was really clever and well done... It seems so simple but I'll bet it was a real headache to pull off.
from a simple storytelling standpoint, i agree it doesn't do all that much, but i don't think the film is really about the arc of jane's life at all. it struck me as being more about identity, about how your name is a container for the decisions you make over the course of your life and how it changes meaning and significance accordingly.
i don't think it's a coincidence that happy picked such a strong but simple name for her; 'jane lloyd' is as evocative and as empathetic for a six year old girl as it is for a porn star (perhaps even for some of the same reasons)..
