Darn, and I was looking so forward to this video...There's a few scenes I like,the goatee'ed guy lying down with the jerky kids walking behind him,and the overall mood of the freak with long hair in the parkade.but beyond that,the flashy colours and lights were empty filler,in my opinion. I really love the knife, not this song as much.I don't know if I like this better or worse than the "heartbeats" video but I think I prefer the latter,or it might just be that I like "heartbeats" better than "silent shout"...igor3, Wednesday, 1. The wrost shit I've seen. A crappy done unoriginal cunningham ripoff. Ripping off 'Rubber Johnny' (which isn't even that good to begin with, though Cunningham is one of the best). This is superficial, and ugly with NO SUBSTANCE whatsoever. No idea behind it really. Creepy? No, just lame.It's like he stole images from Cunnningham videos he liked, without understanding the ideas behind them at all...
plus, the animation in the beginning of it(which I kinda liked, but it was downwards after that..) was not synched with the music..

that animation looks like cut-n-paste from Oskar Fischingers films. (example)i was waiting for thisone too.. the knife roks and was exited when i read that its going to be "inspired" by fischinger.

I quite like it, it is nice in its own way. its just obviously had no budget and that's always difficult. yes, the track is stronger than the video, but at least he tried to do something interesting with zero money. i'd rather see an intersting, but home-made video than a budgeted but boring video any day.
