this is fucking great. all comedy needs is a little commitment. the usual problem with SNL their always winking at the camera, like "hey! i'm in a sketch!" godbless the lonely island for getting some interesting shit on TV.

Nah, it's just that SNL used to be funny, but it isn't anymore. Dig up some tapes of the classic SNL stuff and you'll see that it's still funny when you're not 12.

what a great song - the producer (Jorma?) is amazing.

It is funny that a show which is all about impersonations & live sketch comedy is getting dominated by these rap videos.

They just need to expand this slick stuff to the wobbly sketches.

Seriously - those 8 minute "1 joke, 10 times" get boring after a minute - whereas these rap videos are worth rewatching a couple times.

Why is this good? I've been a fan of the Lonely Island guys, and really enjoyed the Narnia thing, but this is just stupid. Not only is it a one-trick pony, it's signaling the problem that most shows suffer from but SNL seems particularly plagued with: if one thing works well, do it over and over and over and over and over again. Rap! Ha! Funny! It's going to get really old, really fast. Already has in my book. This was terrible.
