One of Dave's better videos. Pink and Dave had fun with it, so kudos to them. Good message too. I'm glad it's on the air.

Wait'll someone posts the new Missy vid - phew! (I've been looking diligently for a good copy)

         

this has been the top selling music video on itunes since it debuted.

Anyone else feel out of step? Is this why so many antville directors are scraping by; and then dozens of these mainstream guys are completely off our radar?

         

It's not a stupid video, it's a very clever, very successful pop video, not designed to appeal to the esoteric interests of most of the people that take part in this website. Even as a pop video it is far better than some of the rubbish that is posted on here regularly and it has a sense of humour. You're probably not out of step, you're just applying the wrong rules to this kind of video when judging it. It's not high art, it's pop. And very entertaining at that.

         

Admirer: I'd dispute that it's VERY clever. If it was VERY clever, it would have fulfilled what Antvilleans are probably looking for - something that is fresh and challenging (as opposed to simply esoteric), while also having a huge appeal for the mainstream. They do crop up once in a while, but I don't think this is one of them.

However, I did quite like it. It was fun and had something to say, although I thought that both the humour and message were treated pretty heavy handedly and plumped for rather easy targets.

         

THANK YOU for pointing that OUT. I would dispute that 'VERY' is different to 'very'.

But then maybe I am just being PICKY.
