Superb, far too good to go in Promo.
Yeah. Brilliant.
cute. great choreography!
Pretty sweet...very Francois Vogel.
nice idea but development is too slow had to scroll trough the end. need choregraphy.
That's the most awesome video i've seen in a long time.
Interesting visual perspective.
Lord Lidell Tell us where to go We will Follow
A teeny bit bored there toward the end, but otherwise: love it! Send that to Warp!
Just a few more songs on Multiply to cover and we'll have a complete (and noteworthy) set!
my favorite jamie lidell video. very simple, great chroreography, unconventional.
neat low-budget idea but easy to watch in fast forward. Do these things really need a minute to get going?
its been bugging me, how did they do it?
Each box is basically a layer, each from different timelines, then edited to be in sequence. Most likely there is only one guy who did is little dance in different spaces.
The video is composed of 25 shots that are zoomed. The shots are than made smaller and put togeather so they form the whole sceene. There is only one camera and one actor used. The person behind the camera was in constant contact with the actor on the sceen via mobilephone, to make sure that his position is allright.
genius little deleuzean experiment. i loved the way the little/lidell guy just stood there.
erm, saam, i think not (crosspost from shortsville on aleksandra's china video piece):
progosk, Monday, 10. April 2006, 13:50 wow. (the audio seems b0rked at first - stick with it.) l'empire des signales. so lidell sees this on a reel and says: yeah, you do my next video... reminded me of larsener's feedback piece for some reason, though this has conceptual closure.
kevathens, Tuesday, 11. April 2006, 15:53 n.b. to readers: that Lidell vid wasn't commissioned by Warp or Lidell..
peter pan, Tuesday, 11. April 2006, 16:28 To readers: The New Me video was commissioned by Jamie Lidell, but refused.
Fascinating!
