Yeah. Nice. Didn't think I was going to like it much, but it certainly has a little computer generated je ne sais quoi. Started to warm to it around the spilt milk scene. Apparently there's something hypnotic and compelling about watching a flaming CG truck drive across the desert through a telescopic CG lens.
But hey! Is that there a little advert for Mitsubishi in every single shot? I was kind of expecting/hoping that the smoke from the explosion at the end to form a giant Mitsubishi logo in the sky.... ;-)
Does this mean that product placement is the new way of funding your music video?
There's some product endorsement involved yea, in Belgium and probably also in other countries it's not the best idea usually to do much product placement in your videos because some tv-stations won't air your clip. This clip was finished last weekend so it's too early to tell if the Mitsubishi thing will get in the way. Also if you play the music backwards you'll hear "Buy the new Mitsubishi truck today" i kid you not.
