Zion I - "Soo Tall" (Dir. Isaiah Saxon of Encyclopedia Pictura)
This is real good.
Weren't people talking about how there are no hip-hop videos on here?
That was solid! I like hip hop like this and think that since hes not rapping about the usual rims, money, bitches and his lexus...he deserves a great video like this...NOT ONE BOOTY SHAKING!
Four stars - great work. Very cool site. Who are these people?
Isaiah's edited a few things, including this Camper van Beethoven vid, dir'd a short called Three Legged Race..
interesting video. I really dug this! would love to know what the budget was on this.
Very fresh and creative. Love the weird creatures.
Ya'll are rockists.
i'm at a loss. supergood, this. love the rhyme reversals. fresh fruit!
spoiler alert ---- I agree progosk... Tig bitties?!
Definitely check back at Ghost Robot for upcoming stuff from Isaiah. Also, check out the next issue of Wolphin DVD for stuff by him as well.
Encyclopedia Pictura is a group of friends who all went to the Academy of Art in San Francisco. They make cool stuff. Also this, which Isaiah art directed.:
Hey, Bloomberg's censored Broadcast vid is inside ghostrobot!
yeah, bloomberg & saxon are both on ghostrobot's ghost-roster, it seems. explications, poorb?
Bloomberg is not on Ghost Robot's roster. I have produced all of his videos (which is why they are posted under the productions side), but he's with Blimp (who we get along with grandly). We are freelance producers who are slowly developing a roster - of which Isaiah will be one, when we launch our new site. We also make features.
I should probably get the new version of the censored video from Ramon - which is now up his new site with some new music.
love it - very unpredictable. poorboy, did we meet at sxsw??
Ghost Robot people.. super fresh job with the Zion I vid. Also took a look at Keven McAlester's Old 97s video...also super cool very Gus Van Sant moodish... super cool :)
Hey Arno,
Yes we did meet at SXSW. I like the new videos, I am looking forward to seeing whats next.
We're glad y'all like the piece. to answer c-dub, the budget was under 20K. the high production value comes from a lot of sweat and sacrafice from director isaiah, dp matthias, set design michele and me, the prodcuer, terence. not to mention our awesome crew who're always down to work on dope projects. we are antiparticle, a nascent production company. check out the rest of our work at www.zealott.com
