Brandtson "Nobody Dances Anymore" dir. Punk Video Guys
Nicely colored, edited take on the dance-in-front-of-skrim genre. (re: Moby Bodyrock) Good for a leisurely Saturday. (Warning: track is kinda emo-synth-pop) punk video guys' myspace
really cool.
If you need quantifiable evidence to the utter uncoolness of white people here it is. Stuff it in a time capsule, baby.
Anthropological comments aside, I think this is a lot of fun. It's nice to include people in the video that most likely look a lot like the people that listen the the music.
nice one!!.. good to see the indi hipsters shaking their shit!
simple, sustainable and super cool
yeah, but we are scientists were that little bit cooler: videos.antville.org
Along this tangent: sometimes people do other things for the camera..
The we are scientists vid is more stylized, not cooler. The stylization takes away from the simplicity of just letting people dance. It's as if the director doesn't trust the dancers to compel the audience, whereas this video plays it pretty straight and is very watchable. There's a truth to material here.
without wanting to section follicles, this one here doesn't entirely trust just the dancers either (whence framing gimmicks) - in that sense the moby vid was even straighter - in fact, i don't quite get moby's head-shaking there...
but you're right: scientists wants to be cooler.
