Broken Social Scene "Fire Eye'd Boy" (Dir.: George Vale & Kevin Drew, aka Experiential Parachute Moment)
New Broken Social Scene video for "Fire Eye'd Boy." Features the band members in boot camp-like training and is rumoured to be making fun of Canadian Idol. The idea followed Kevin Drew's comments on Canadian Idol participants at the 2006 Juno Awards.
wow.
um.
these guys really are all over the place with their videos. Which is cool. But based on all their other clips I never thought they'd do a Blink 182 concept.
Looks like one big inside joke; and I don't get all of it. Still, there's a lot of funny-ish parts (the model airplane is awesome) and I gotta admire their 110% attitude.
But where were all the hot BSS girls??
Haha. It's Mean Guy Brian! (visit Rotate This in Toronto to meet him in person).
"wow." My thoughts exactly. I'm guessing it would be funny if I were a Canadian who had seen that show before. Oh well
worth it if only for the Geddy Lee cameo. Awesome!
Geddy Lee is my hero. And perhaps my neighbour, but that's besides the point. I just wonder how the guys on the "Ben Mulrooney Show" (which is what some people up here call Canadaian Idol) will respond.
That was excellent. Put these boys in heavy rotation!
so!much!fun! i mean the video gets in the way of the song a bit, but what the heck, just love it!
dir?
The directors are Experiential Parachute Moment(George Vale and BSS's Kevin Drew).
Lucky enough to work on this. It was definitely fun to do, but it's always strange doing sync sound in a music video.
i had such high hopes. i love broken social scene. this video is really really boring. old 70's workout clothes, gyms, locker room... been done. there was really nothing interesting about this video at all.
i'm not sure if i'm alone on this one, but i have conflicting feelings i get from the songs and the videos. i like the hell out of this one and shoreline, but the videos don't seem to match the emotion.
