It IS funny. It doesn't stand up to repeat viewings like Y Control, Pin or Gold Lion however.
         
My favorite YYY video hands down. The fake nick with the big hair is perfect.
         
Well done. I know the other two videos off of the album were really technically cool with nice cinematography and everything, but this is my favorite off the album.

I really enjoyed this. I think it captures the bands personality quite nicely. Heres the same concept executed by Dayton / Faris for Red Hot Chili Peppers. Pretty damn similar but equally as fun in both cases.

also reminds me a bit of the REM video dir by Peter Care a few years ago where they had fans send in footage from around the world walking in and out of doorways, hallways and elevators. Anyone remember that one?
         
Well, the Feeder video for "Just A Day" was one of the earliest and best examples. This one by the YYYs is pretty poor by comparison.
         
It's well done, but I'm fed up with such ideas. Yeah, Feeder was more vivid. Maybe it's the song.
         
i think it's a rad video.. it's got life to it, it's funny, and you want to watch it til the end. and the songs good.. sure it's not earth shattering.. but can you really make an earth shattering video anymore?

anyway.. directed by patrick daughters.. the guy who has done most of the other YYY videos.
         
I can't help but feel the song didn't call for this concept. You have to be really in love with the YYYs/Karen O to enjoy it. Also, those titles are distracting. (Sorry!)

And you can make an earth-shattering video, but very few have the budget and mass audience anymore, and most of the A-list directors have jumped ship. Blame the Internet: nowadays "earth-shattering" translates simply into "viral video". Also, keep in mind how vastly different watching a video on a monitor is to watching it on TV.

No, i really like it. First of all, its not shot as a music video, its more like commercial stock-footage. That's cool.

On the other hand, the video didnt help the song THAT much, cause its the only one from this album i just dislike.
         
This is cool but it wont be the last. Trendy it is, to make the ultimate You Tube video...
         
The reason I posted this was because i felt it wasnt meant to promote the video, but more to show appreciation to the fans by giving them an opportunity like this. I had received the e-mail from them asking for fans to record themselves performing "cheated hearts". And like many of you guys have said its not the best video theyve done, but i dont think it was meant to be a "real" promo vid, just something for the fans to see themselves sharing the song with karen, nick , and brian.
