From Patrick O'Brien's site:
Over the course of 2006 and 2007 I will document my journey with ALS on 35mm motion picture film.

I had viewed some of his stuff a few years back but just found out about his illness.
Interesting take on Boards of Canada (see, that's how it could have been!). I send my best to Patrick.
came across him for the antville pre-2005's. what a bitch, life.
it is very unsettling to watch the first two promos (as he calls them) - there's no etiquette in this sort of situation, plus it's a priori impossible to judge, but this kind of estheticized depiction of his own condition is a very strange thing to watch. whereas the winter promo is (incorrectly?) almost comforting. hard to imagine a project tougher than this...
Im lost for words. I feel like anything I say to comment some how can't do justice. Patrick if you are reading this... Micha Riss showed me your work several years and I was always so impressed at your ability to infuse all of it with so much personality. Its wonderful to know that in all kinds of chapters of life you have been gifted with the ability to put so much of who you are into your work. ... and I don't even know you. POWERFUL STUFF!!
trans patrick. you'll always be a zoomheldist to me. The film is great so far..
