The Horrors - Count in Fives - dir. by Daniel Wolfe
I remember his work for Ms Dynamite which I think was a work of genius. Glad to see he doesn't disappoint with the Horrors, orginal, and stylish with no laziness of vision. Loved it.
wmv here. honestly, though? wolfe's some awesome, but this is just rubbish.
Nah, I like it. I've not seen it a hundred times already with different bands. Well done Mr Wolfe, thumbs up. Originality's a big thing for me, so I'm with Storr on this one. Simple performance in innovative set + the signing for a little something extra. It's not gonna change the world, but shouldn't go unnoticed.
I don't get it? I know it's on youtube but is it meant to look this crappy?
I presume it is, it's odd and intense, just right for the Horrors - love it
The "crappiness" is surely intentional, Wolfe knows what he's doing - just check his other work! Perhaps the youtube version doesn't do it justice but this video is original, odd, disturbing and unsettling - perfect for the horrors. I really like the use of tube cameras, the (no doubt intentionally) low-fi set and deliberate glitches. Definitely works for me. Brilliant performance video.
Those ppl are so distracting..
Intended to be crap? Mission accomplished with aplomb. At least genuine crap isnt intentionally so.
Well now we know who to thank for their dark brooding eyeliner stigma that will haunt them for the rest of their career.
let's see what the haters on here have made lately then. that was great - simple, dirty, good edit, great look. loved the sign language guys too.
what the hell is this? unwatchable.
well it's an anti-video... it's not meant to be an easy, aesthetic watch. it's challenging and more interesting for it, i think. it makes cunningham's last one (although a great video, in my opinion) look super glossy (in a goth way).
"straight up the ass, raw dog with the rash..." C.Wallace
low down and dirty. Fucking love it
Yeah, the video does fit the band perfectly. A "so bad its good" video for a "so bad its good" band.
this certainly stands out, as do the band, and i think for all the right reasons. far more watchable than 90% of the crap thats out there at the moment, and as for the post for knowing who to thank for their dark brooding eyeliner stigma etc, what a crock of shit. i think the band themselves made that decision long before.
