Lady Sovereign "Love Me or Hate Me" - dir: Brian Beletic
With all that originality, this video is still actually getting played on TRL.
Completely disjointed and weird, and I love it. The fingernail clipping alone was worth the price of admission, although I some of the performances during the chorus's seemed a little phoned in by LS.
"i can't dance and i can't sing" god bless the girl.
Another SRO/Antiville cross post. Where are the complaints???
A couple neat moments, but otherwise a little flat for this younger, british, female, 'G' rated version of Eminem...
Pretty good. Performance shots are a bit long, but that doesn't surprise me. And 30f isn't part of SRO.
dig dig diggin
she looks good with big boobs.
That was wicked. The transition from the fat-lady-sovereign is my favourate part. -j
I'm sorry, not feeling it. Beletic's one of the great innovators, I definitely had high expectations for this one. This ended up feeling alot more dave myers, which is fine, but for Beletic I'm suprised.
Well... at least they got the cute girl with the corgi right.
this is great. it fronts without frontin, dig?
I don't usually like Lady Sovereign but that song wasn't too bad and the video went well with it.

This is self-aggrandizing bullshit. This is vanity masquerading as self-deprecation. The video is fine. The song is crap. The marketing is even worse -- but obviously some people buy it.
Yeah, we posted this video recently but 30frames can cross-post every video we offer as far as we're concerned because the commentary that guy offers up is fucking great. And we're always happy to share with the antville crew.
As for our opinion: you know where to find it.
This video is great. The label couldn't have afforded this last year, but she's obviously getting some attention in the states (I know this is true I read it in a newspaper...!) and have drummed up a song which plays to that and have also drummed up enough cash to make something that feels big enough for Americas buying public. Mr Beletic has injected some really nice oompf here. Snazzy visual tricks, plenty of humour (of his own, not necessarily the tracks), glossy mainstream sections and an energetic & standout performance. nice work.
great video particularly considering that the original two day shoot was cancelled and the whole thing done in a day
good work mr beletic
