Nice Pes video.vs, 1. November 2006, 22:19
funny, as the video was starting, i said to myself, 'oh god, another stop motion video', but this, fine sir, was fucking awesome.quixoticnyc, 1. November 2006, 22:47
Lovely..nice song too..really well paired to the music. I too am a bit tired over the uber clever stop motion thing lately but this sure was nice. This reminds me a lot more of Sagmeister than PEScaptainmarc22, 1. November 2006, 23:49
that was really neat and some great stop motion BUTTTTT i would love to see him top his Presets video. That one seemed to open a ton of possibilities.i wonder what his workflow is like. these videos must take fo'eva.

awesome. this is some of the best use of stopmotion i have ever seen. really fresh, with tons of great visual concepts whizzing by at lightning speed. it almost felt like i just watched 50 great videos in 3 minutes. like "vs" i was preparing to roll my eyes at another stop motion clutter video, but this one took the cake. brilliant.lusk81, 2. Super genius. The design in each frame is exquisite.presidentofvice, 2. November 2006, 05:06
I agree, this is some of the most interesting and watchable stop motion i've seen in a very long time. However, i'm really tired of the 'arts and crafts' aesthetic thats so popular these days. but that's just me. it definitely fits the track and its well done, so i can't hate too much. BTW Two of the guys that are in this band have another band called El Ten Eleven, which is fucking great. check it: www.myspace.com

Brilliant video. Makes wading through the rest of them worth it. Finally something that actually plays with and fits the song.hassinator, 2. November 2006, 11:30
i was going to say this was pez on crack but its so much better than that - an absolute pearler of a videoframescourer, 2. November 2006, 13:07
A most beautifully shot video that feeds rather than forces one's sight. I've an itch to scratch about the speed at which this embarrassment of inventive riches strobes its way through the video but I'd rather watch in fat-eyed wonder than boredom.dogboy666, 2. November 2006, 14:16
Bravia! Ooops I meant to say Bravo!

I gotta agree with everything said above. Just when I thought that I never wanted to see another low budget stop motion clip, this comes along and makes me fall in love again. Great colors. My favorite shot has to be the stuff with the mirror towards the end.The song ain't bad either.

moyes sez “The clip took 14 days to shoot and was all mapped out from the beginning. I notated the whole song and used that as my bible. The words and musical sections were divided equally allowing 7 days each. We were shooting about 25-30 words a day and working 9 hour days, (about 1 word every 15-20 minutes) which ended up being too much for my art director who pulled out halfway through. For the word section the more solid ideas were executed in the first few days allowing the others to ferment. Naturally there were a few that didn’t go exactly to plan so I had to treat them on a case to case basis. I think the results from the ones that needed lateral thinking are my favourites, especially “and” which was spelled out of the laptop, external drive, wacom tablet and ipod speakers.”(via motionographer.)
