nice!
I agree, really nice! Very inventive use of a limited space. The cinematography was very compelling. A lot of nice variations of shots and compositions.
Liked it enough to look up another Gozin video for Milow, Landslide. u2b: www.youtube.com Again, he got a lot out of a very simple space. Again great compositions. In Landslide, some of the slow motion seemed a little digitally forced, it would have been nice if it had been shot at a genuine high speed.
mookie: this is arty.
coady: so how is this not just an "homage to arty"? whats the defining line between the two in your opinion? i think both of the videos try too hard, but at least i wasnt bored by this video. not sure about the jump cuts though, i dont like being so aware of the cut as i was during those sections. the xmas lights were a nice touch. im just glad this video wasnt black and white.
mookie: yeah, but it wasn't all b/w in the other - there were flashes of color, which really caught my eye.
I don't dislike this video, I just feel there's more to chew on in the other. It's stranger, and because it's totally random there's freedom to just let the images roll in. It's also referencing dada and bauhaus and other 20th century art moments (though not specifically for the most part).
Also, this one has a midget, which in terms of conceits is much worse than a b/w video.
haha, well at least we can agree on your last point :-)
neck-busting musical instruments get thumbs up!
@ coady & mookie: what other b/w video or we talking about here?
i think its a great track and therefore deserved this great video...nicely shot, simple but effective, always dig the circus themed videos anyway:-)
