hey everyone. this is a place to post videos and that's what i did. i'm sorry if i did anything wrong but as far as i can see i didn't. it's 9 videos from 9 different artists from our roster. i didn't know that you guys just want a video a day. or maybe just videos you guys posted yourself? or is there any limit on posting videos? if yes, let me know and i'll happily remove some of them again and repost'em in a few days.

i'm not here to cause troubles, just to let everyone know about a few cool music vids.

I just posted for the first time on antville late last night. it was a recent clip I just made and was hoping to get a comment or two (I like those comments - good or bad - direct feedback is so rare). I woke up and checked antville and felt a little "video-blocked". I barely had the energy to scroll down and find the video I posted a few hours ago. I don't know that posting a wack of clips is wrong - but I wanted to give you perspective from the other side.

thank you for your friedly reply. i know what you mean and i'm sorry for pushing your vids to the bottom. this site's layout is not the best and doesn't keep new posted videos on top, displayed in smaller thumbnails or anything similar. i hope i didn't offend anyone by posting the videos. i just followed the "Feel free to post a new video link." comment and did my thing.

         

No offense on antville's behalf. What progosk meant was that, from our experience, having a bunch of videos posted at once by the same person makes us really uninterested in any of them becomes too much work in one sitting.

         

Really nice video. Subtle without being boring.

         

Oh Glitterhouse, why even post on here? No one is going to watch these because of your lack of etiquette. I would suggest condensing them all into one post with html links to each video.

         

There have been plenty of block posters. liked the way Jey posted all his videos in a block. They gave you a perfect way of seeing his work real quick... one after the other... kevathens makes a good point about comments. I'm not sure if he understands that there are a lot of video lovers here who are simply looking for new music. The video itself is a great way to get us our fix of new music we may otherwise not be able to find. We won't be commenting on the vids, but we are most assuredly watching them all.

glitterho: yeah, i guess the antville layout is pretty crap - can someone please do a redesign for glitter here? y'know, coz he's got some dope videos to offload, he's a busy guy & all, and antville is like too fucking slow. (community? what's community?)

         

that was a little harsh... most vids have been extremely watchable over the past months. Seems like the video production is way up this year. and good to see unknown directors with low budgets. Now will someone please comment on Sean Wainsteim's vid ! LOL

I have to admit...I'm super enjoying that this has turned into a thread.

         

irony: by posting 9 no-name videos; dude starts an angry thread. THen I watch the above clip to see a sampling of the work.

And guess what, I really like it. It's nothing that hasn't been done, but it's probably the best albino-themed music video since Unkle's "Reign".

@progosk. no need to get harsh. i know exactly what a community is about and i didn't criticise this website saying that it's "pretty crap", because actually i'm a friend of plain and simple layouts. but for posting videos, on an public website where everyone can post clips, it would be a benefit to have the layout better structured. to have the newest videos on top and the older ones beneath. this way, discussions like this one would become obsolete. and please, i beg you, don't tell me that i don't know what the term "community" means. glitterhouse records is part of the independet music community since more than 20 years, and we have always been part of this community. i don't need to justify myself towards you.

This'll pass, don't worry. As an open community website there always has to be an occasional argument such as this. Blogs with more editorial control (motionographer, stash feed) are a lot more professional because they're not free-for-alls.

Why this place hasn't simply obliterated itself is a testament to its overall worth.

         

I like to read all this. it's like salt in the soup... or like in most families at dinner-time before x-mas.

         

Anybody want to comment on the video? I thought it was actually pretty good, if a little like the David Gray "Alibi" video.

         

I luv u lot, sumtimes the comments are jus' miles better than the vid posted lofl!

         

The layout is what it is, we all have to live with it. If some new vids knock others from the top, too bad, the world ain't perfect! For me usually checking the recent comments is a good way to keep up with the more interesting vids anyways.

Oh, and I really liked the video.
