Linkin Park - What I've Done
very touching. I always appreciate when someone speaks about the true state of this world
They worked with Rick Rubin on this album, which i believe is a blessing to any artist, but this song is kinda uninspired. So is the video. I can appreciate the thought behind it and it does evoke some reflective emotion though.
Another blatant product-placement video, this time courtesy of Corbis
oh, barf. (you weren't kidding on that, spi.)
the lead singer looks like bono!
im not watching this.
I'm doing this video forumla thing at Blender's website from time to time, did one for this video: www.blender.com
This is a good video for this band. If you are into the earnest-ness of LP, you will probably be into these visuals. No rapping, though - which makes me a little sad. One of the guys from Kings of Leon has apparnetly joined Linkin Park - and he brought his beard!
It seems like this band pushes a lot of buttons here on the Ville. At least this clip does not involve yet another 'rewinding back to the moment I last saw my girlfriend before she died in a slo mo car crash' which could have easily come out of this song.
I'm gonna go shoot some stock footage now so I can get rich in 40 years.
life's too short to spend it with vids & music like this.
not amazing, but not horrible either. Mr. Hahn knows how to shoot performance well, and although i never really like stock footage in music videos some of the chosen clips were well placed.
ifmv.blogspot.com for a downloadable FLV (YouTube) version.
cringe worthy. was going to switch off after first 30seconds but thought i'd give them a chance after giving them tons of kudos on the 'project igi' video some time ago.
I can really appreciate the message they are trying to deliver here, any band that attempts to fuse a worthy cause into their video should get the thumbs up from everyone. But, its done in such a (dare i say) 'cheesy' way? If they really want to save the planet and show regret - just hand over the budget to worthy charity funds and stop attempting to look so 'cool' against a barrage of sick clips... imho that would get them more publicity for the track and atleast be original and constructive
Using stock is a bit trite nowadays (unless you've shot it yourself or it simply hasn't been seen before), but I do love that one clip of the soldier shooting his flame gun into the camera lens @ 00:40.
When you look up linkin park on most stock image sites, you just get this:
Indeed what have u dun Did someone replace woteva woz up earlier in the week with this embed which dain't work?
Life's too short to comment on people commenting on videos & music like this.
