peter saville - joy division - sneakers?
Ok so I know we only post music videos here blah blah. Well seeing that Peter Saville's influence has popped up on many a posted video and often using this very image from "Unknown Pleasures"... I thought id share my complete known pleasure ... what the fuck is this???
erm... i'm going to call photoshop-bs on this. (i'll also hang my head in shame for wanting a pair.)
nope, the shoes are freals. I lost all ability to tolerate this particular cover image (taken from a 1973 scientific american diagram of pulsar energy emission) being slapped on shirts/skateboards/shoes when I saw a friend of mine wearing a shirt with the giant print on it and I was like, "I never you knew you were into Joy Division" and she was like "wha?". Anyhoos the worst is the image embroidered on the tongue. Though I kind of enjoy the 'hidden opulence' aspect of it
ok - they're one of two concepts, by dylan adair, who'd actually already done them, just with a swoosh. and: on the nb's, the pattern's inside the shoe, not on the sole. qed: bs.
I wish they would make some Gold and Black Leather Judas Priest high top shoes!
Im liking the Judas Priest idea....ALOT! Come on there has to be some wanker that works for nike on here...pass that one up the chain.
NO SERIOUSLY!!! My wardrobe would be complete!!! I would rather it be Adidas...
I have to admit I had the Black Snake Skin LL Cool J Troops back in the day...
New Balance makes a quality shoe. I've owned a couple pairs for over 10 years now and they never let me down. I'll pass the Judas Priest concept over to my girl at Nike, just fax me a sketch hakai. For realsys.
I want credit for this!!!
Damn you refused fellas have to make those happen! If I can't score a pair of those I might have to resort to going barefoot and getting Rob Halford's mug inked on top of my foot.
UPDATE: The official response from Nike after sending them Hakai's design was..."nice." So there you have it, they are probably ripping you off as I type this. I did tell them that if they made the shoe they would have at least two guarenteed customers...we'll see if that helps.
hahaha!
I actually know one of the lead shoe designers at Ed Hardy, so I'll take it there next...let's get a bidding war going :-)
