Beautiful lighting and costume design, the liquids are watchable... However, this vid falls flat on its arse. I've said it once and i'll say it again, i have such high expectations of Saam's stuff always excited to see what he does next, and i will continue to do so. But in this case i was more excited to see the end of the video.
Maybe a better edit would benefit? Or maybe something more sexual?
Reminds me of a japanese lip balm commercial

horrible song. maybe a concept that didn't mirror the song's melody as much would have made for a more interesting videor_o_o_k_i_e, 15. April 2007, 01:31

Saam have chosen the coolest bands nowadays, that's the key of his success.tash_curly, 15. April 2007, 12:20
Well done Saam. Amazing! Gorheous shots and stylistic. Thanks Saam for another stunning video. Speak to you soon mate.ali_taylor, 15. April 2007, 21:10
I think it's slightly unfair to blame the edit...That's not the problem...
There's a lack of musical and visual variety that is virtually impossible get away from.
The post is very impressive tho.

great still, shame about the video really. goes nowhere. at all. anyone think the singer sounds a bit like the lovechild of prince and captain caveman?kevathens, 16. April 2007, 00:12
I dig it, but, you know, target audience and all. This is mildly Sednaouian! Oh no you didn't!commissionergordan, 16. April 2007, 11:55
I love this, it strikes me more Hypesque than Sedanous. I'd love to see what Saam would do with a Hype budget.hassinator, 16. April 2007, 13:50
wallop - thats great saamshatner, 16. April 2007, 15:12

eyeraw, 16. April 2007, 21:31
It is mildy Sednaouian. I never thought about that. Don't go there girlfriend.yenvalmar, 17. April 2007, 02:12
if you took a frame grab every 5 seconds and turned it into a photo exhibition you'd really have something. as a music video it reminds me of watching fashion TV while the acid is wearing off.. i dont mean that as an insult OR a compliment.. how do you even pitch something like this? did you pre-visualize the rainbow effect for the pitch materials? was there even a pitch? just curious.. i thought the space ship intro/outro, though its been done, sorta saved it as a piece.. maybe the space ship has been done but at least it gave it someplace to go.
jhenry, 18. April 2007, 16:04
I liked it all bar the spaceship intro... Parts of it struck me as almost a companion/evil twin of his Golden Skans vid...
gsummer, 20. April 2007, 23:42
Jhenry...yeah I thought of Golden Skans too, but that promo I liked much more. This one is lifeless. It feels like too much of a re-hash of his other stuff. Not that I am against the idea of a Director having lingering fascinations with certain images and themes, but it should feel fresh. I don't think the music is the problem, or the edit, per se. There just isn't any development to speak of over the course of the video. No suprises. Slick, yes. No questioning the competence. It's just uninteresting.kevathens, 21. May 2007, 01:03
saam-unklejam-mov - get it while it lasts!johnny_cashback, 21. May 2007, 01:55
Really excellent, it's like george clinton merged with the alien quadrilogy or whatever you call it. brilliant.cusso, 2. July 2007, 13:16
Brilliant video. Saam is Saam because of his themes. Should he change his vison because a handful of people like to see their ideas on this site?Guess that's the 'vibe' on this site.
I like Saam's work. The video was slick. So is Unklejam.
