Justice - "D.A.N.C.E." Finished Version
...some rather pleasant adjustments from the unfinished version that's been floating around
amazingly good
True.
love what they added. But NOOOOOOOO!!! they dropped some of my fav moments.
-
The extended silence with the door closing!(which on MTV would grab anyones attention, silence is golden)
-
The circle of t-shirt wearing people on dance floor! screw the 3D graphic sequence, the old scene was dynamite
-
The gun shot at the end with ink splattered wall!
why why why???
the gun/blood thing is pretty understandable if they want it to be played on telly.
Funny to see that the unfinished version was far better than this one... !
So are any of those going to end up as actual t-shirt designs?
Oooooohhhhh. I never saw the unfinished version but I love this. Really stylish use of animation and rotoscoping. Like like like.
a lot of the shirts have already been issued in limited runs in the past couple years. a few are for sale now, and i suppose the rest might come out sooner or later.
this was animated by So-Me, but it was directed by french nkotb duo Jonas&François.
kinda reminiscent of jason koxvold's video for dealership. but (as jason pointed out), this was executed better. plus of course the track is brillz
uh, way better!
is the track available anywhere? looked on itunes, no dice.
The track is available via ifmv. The Dailymotion video above is the TV edit. Unfinished version mp4 or flv for the nostalgics. So-Me on myspace. Interview with both J&S and SO ME.
Justice D.A.N.C.E. - 3rd and final version, for realz this time.
nice but i am a little sick of vector graphics.
JUSTICE NEWS!! D.A.N.C.E. just got added to f'in MTV, of all places. Call me chuffed to frickin pieces.
"3rd" not-toned-down version ("version non censurée pour MTV nuit") also via Stash and Boards.
Now also in orange (autoplagiarization: still directed by J&F)
4.8M hits on YouTube.. (Avril's "Girlfriend", 60.5M..)
Hah. Nice comparison there. Goes to show that no matter how well-marketed your hipster-candy might be; no matter how badly you WANT to make money on it, it's still very much directed at a niche audience (who probably downloaded it from a blog rather than iTunes).
