Thom Yorke "The Clock" (dir: Ravi Sohanpal)
Watch in flash Second place in the D&AD student awards. It's been done, and way better. IMHO, when you're gonna do something like this, the emphasis should be on the song's rhythm, but it fails to deliver that.
Brilliant. I wish I'd have the patience and single-mindedness to do something like this. The kamikaze editing speeds and flood of poxy pop-culture trash is very much a Yorke/Radiohead aesthetic, but the video is in the first instance a response to the song. Just (just!) the right side of ker-azy anti-globalisation preachy too.
I thought this was the most evocative of the four. It captured the spirit of the song better than the rest, although it got kinda dull 2/3's of the way thru.
