This just shows how fantastically entertaining Dom and Nic are.
I didn't feel at any point it was trying to be too cool for school.
It's simple, beautiful, funny, surreal.
I'm with hassey on this one... this will be on TV rotation forever... or should be!

The promo's fun but the narrative a little flat. The kid was cast wrong and clearly has trouble holding his 'part'. At times very difficult to follow where he is mentally/emotionally.

Consider their believe video for instance. That actor was spot on.
         
yeah. my instinct as a director would have been to make the live action stuff more dense/interesting to lighten the load of the 3d animation. As it is, we got a kid looking in a fish bowl.

but still, awesome stuff. what a bizarre single.
         
Really good. When you got lyrics that literal you have to venture in the surreal and framestore knocked the animation out of the park. Congrats fellas.

About the performance from the actor being flat. i think thats just you can't see his expressions properly on the youtube version.
watch the quicktime. it's spot on. loads of really good details in his expressions. awesome video.

nah the kid's great. he's happy, he's entranced, he's confused, he overwhelmed, he's slightly frightened, he's acceptant. he kisses the tank! and when you think that for the shoot, all he's got is an empty tank and a director telling him there's dancing fish to react to...
