Putting aside the cruddiness of YouTube, this is a well-done video. It uses a simple effect to good purpose, and feels energetic and fun. It's definitely worth finding a hosting site that will look better.

Absolutely brilliant. I've attempted stuff like this before and I'm keen to know: did the director tell the band 'you have to do the same thing every take' and then discover that the fun is in the small differences that become strobic in the editing..? Or was that planned?Similarly, I like the blink and you'll miss them insertions of a technician (the director?) in front of the scrim (approx 2'25"). Also intended?

yes, this was great. something shambolic about the band that makes me love it too... well done, nick.nickact, 23. August 2007, 20:30
To answer your questions:I specifically did not give the band any instructions on what to do outside of a general location for the bassist to stand when he went for his bass. The jump cuts were desired.
That is me walking by in the end. After shooting for 35 hours, I felt I needed to get in on it.
Thank you all. Hopefully it will end up on a television screen somewhere.

Nice work. I love this band, and am pleased to see the video work so nicely for them. A great and timely idea!progosk, 25. August 2007, 00:05
