i had low expectations going into this and i've just watched it 2 times. i normally hate videos this literal but i dont think this could've been any better. great performances and even better editing.

Well it would have been better if they had actually blown up the rolls...

         

They blow it in the last minute with that studio footage - gilding the Lily, so to speak.

But the sequence (capped) where she emerges from the space suit complete with shades and Bermondsey bling is, IMHO, the coolest pop moment this year.

WTF happened here!?!?! All of the performance footage is fantastic, especially Lily's (spacesuit is the shit), but then comes in these god-awful, "comic", literal, lyric interpretations inter-cut with a beer commercial starring Jeremy Piven. Its like two completely different videos. One great. The other shit.

         

The rap music doesn't fit with this. Please keep 'em separated.

         

she cool, he cool - shame the last section fudges out.

         

i dunno, i like about half of it - the white tux, the space suit, the photo portraits of the couple, but i'd kinda expected better form common. just feels a bit poppy without saying as much as the lyrics could. nice tune tho.
