tho this goes nulle part, that was a really engaging watch.

framescourer, September 18, 2007 at 12:55:31 PM CEST

How'd they do the mouth-light? Is it LEDs or some hugely cunning UV arrangement?

progosk, September 18, 2007 at 1:19:54 PM CEST

but there's something else (uv+tk?) in those blackface shots...

jaron, September 18, 2007 at 1:36:13 PM CEST

hmm... it's too bad, this is an unfinished version of the video. I'm disappointed that it got leaked out.

progosk, September 18, 2007 at 1:48:40 PM CEST

ah. now there's a good reason for taking it down. above links duly deleted. drop a line when it's ready, j.

kevathens, Tuesday, 18. September 2007, 23:05 Don't worry: The Kingdom. September 28th.

And the relevance of that is......?

kevathens, September 19, 2007 at 9:17:25 PM CEST

Jamie Foxx said that several times at the VMAs. He looked kinda drunk too, which was funny. :)

good soul department, September 20, 2007 at 1:26:46 AM CEST

Well crap. I was really interested in seeing this too.

dim, September 20, 2007 at 11:28:00 PM CEST

I'm curious to see what will be changed/added to the leaked version i saw.

moonman, September 21, 2007 at 12:35:52 AM CEST

gahan's video is on again!!!

progosk, September 21, 2007 at 2:19:32 PM CEST

this is actually identical to the version j mentioned as unfinished. (shurely shome mishtake?) oh, and: d.o.p.: kasper tuxen.

onesmallkreeger, September 21, 2007 at 2:19:56 PM CEST

I don't care what anyone else thinks or says... this is phenomenal!

I love the lights/lighting, I love the tone, I LOVE the edit. Dave Gahan looks great but it manages to avoid making him some latter-day-saint, which Corbijn fell into (I still love those vids though).

This is fudging amazing. It's not necessarily original (oh, how I know you guys respect originality) but it's something incredible to look at, it works with the song perfectly and more than anything else it excites me visually.

Jaron, can you tell me some of the people you worked with on this? Editor/Camera/Gaffer? Also, where did you shoot? It looks like Crewdson's Upstate New York, but I suspect that some of it may be the UK....

moonman, September 21, 2007 at 6:31:44 PM CEST

i really don't know if this is the final version, but the link came from the official u2b user
