Lolly Jane Blue "Worms" : Dir. Sil Van Der Woerd
fantastic! Really seemless and moody vfx combined with great art direction and imagery. And the setups just kept coming through nice transitions! Really well done. I loved the floating hands and the birds turning into paint. Congratulations!
wow! super duper amazingness. way to turn it out!
visionary
Totally bizarre but well done.
that's pretty epic... jellyfish were good, not sure if i got much emotion off it, but really well put together
Holy Jebus, that was beautiful! There were maybe a few too many motifs for my taste, but that's only because I found each one so captivating that I wanted to see it play out before moving on to the next. Great work.
Art direction and VFX were top notch, congrats. I could have used a few less "dip to blacks" in the edit, but that's just nitpicking. Excellent work.
It's like a Mathew Barney movie without having to sit still for two hours. Ridiculously beautiful. I'm still not certain that this was made by a human.
nice, but conceptually flat and the vfx felt more like the work of a team of motion graphic designers than anything else.
why does it matter if the vfx felt more like the work of a team of motion graphics designers? isn't that how it usually works anyway? besides, it seems like he did most of the vfx himself. and i felt like this was conceptually strong, especially after reading that it's suppose to be "her journey down the earth's layers". i like how that ties in with the song called "Worms"
this is just so nice. The shots flowed together seemlessly... I liked most of the effects used... just incredibly refreshing.
I understand r-dogg's comments about too many motif's but really that is minor, minor, criticism.
Darren Aranofsky should hire this dude to make The Fountain 2.
woah, Lots of work..looks great
Kinda Lynn fox meets All is full of Cremaster The birds remind me of those crows from that italian video with the scarecrow in the snow. What was that again?
refreshing? it reminds me of trance or techno cd covers from the 90s. i found it just flat.
wet_elec: you mean neve ridens.
i'm still so amazed that they were able to pull off such an extraordinary video when the singer is a newcomer who isn't even signed to a label. i know it was a collaboration but where did the money come from?
^That's what I was wondering.
Any still frame grab from this will look amazing... its when things start to move that i loose interest.
