I did an unofficial video for Arcade Fire's "My Body is a Cage" with footage from Sergio Leone's "Once Upon a Time in the West", and it was pretty well received here. So I just wanted to share my latest personal video project, using footage from the french documentary "Microcosmos". Hope you enjoy.

Holy Shit. This has to be the strangest coincidence ever. Watching non narrative films with a new soundtrack is one of my hobbies... After falling in love with Winged Migration I decided to give Microcosmos a try. This was two summers ago. I started the dvd with its original soundtrack. After a while the bug noises were really getting to me so I decided to put on some music and mute the tv. I thought to myself... what would replicate the neurotic, buzzing, fast paced qualities that these bugs have?

So i put on Radiohead's - Kid A and sure enough it worked fantastically. I dont know the exact time to cue but I've never seen music fit so well with video. Since then whenever anyone brings up pink floyd and the wizard of oz, I mention Microcosmos and Kid A.

This is just so bizarre that you made the choice to link the two. Great minds think alike I guess.

This new one starts off kinda slow, but the rain at the end is very fitting. Would have liked to see a bit more snail sex though :)

I was a massive fan of the Arcade Fire/OUTITW mashup and this is also excellent.

Now that Youtube exists really well done unofficial videos like this kind of take the place of videos when a band refuses to make their own. Discuss.

J Tyler Helms needs to get employed by major labels to pump these out. They are doing a great job of marketing their video shy acts!
