nice CG but disappointing.
i'm guessing the ending is supposed to be a joke? as in supposed to make fun of 80's cheese? but just comes off as plain cheese...
         
I don't think this is meant to be ironic or cheesy.
The approach is so meticulous and loving.

I thought the end was great.
         
That was just so well executed. The look is absolutely spot on, and it fits the song too. It would work well for visuals, but this isn't a video I'd watch over and over.

Is the sound distorted like that on the record though?

Looks like somebody's been studying up on their old HBO Bumps. I'm sure there are more spot-the-logo moments for anyone who cares to try, most of these are before my time. On a related note I nearly fell out of my chair when I started watching Tenebrae and "that Justice song" started playing.

i thought this was done really well, however i could have done without the annoying sound effects.

Absolutely amazing - design and animation spot on. Really love that weird saturated 80's ntsc graphics look. Cant wait to see what so_me come up with next.
         
great idea and execution. can't deny that this is done with a lot of love for the originals. terrible song though! Crap daft punk rip off with horrible vocals.
btw. saam cut a comp of 80's animated logos/graphics together in his pre partizan days.
