these bad green screen 80's throwback videos are getting a bit old - there's been so many latelyjellybean, March 16, 2008 10:41:54 AM CET
Yeah i agree. Its enough that the music is inspired by the 80's... we dont need our face rubbed in it with the video as well.Sometimes i think these b-grade 'retro' videos are a product of low budgets but then again it could be just a lack of new ideas.

This song is great however, this video is just painfully painfully painfully unoriginal. What director could not find an old video to 'recreate' - take it to a flame / after effects / shake artist and let them bang it out (badly)?I can imagine the Directors script went something like ' I really love this track. As it sounds pretty 80's, my idea is that we lift a bunch of effects and styling ideas from classic 80's female artist videos from artists like Bonnie Tyler & Chrissie Hynde . I will shoot most of it green screen so i can leave all the work for someone else to do'
I am sure the Modular / Partizan folk will be patting themselves on the back over how brilliantly original this is. It is videos like this which make you wonder what has happened to having an idea
for a music video?
Film-making like this (If you can call it that) basically just displays a complete lack of talent & skill for the craft.
Good luck to Ladyhawke though she is cool.
