Elbow - One Day Like This (Dir. Ringan Ledwidge)
odd autobahn ref in the track...
Could anyone post a link for non US viewers? Thanx
The Quicktime seems to work worldwide.
how depressing can it be to have a job like this.
and how confused is the rights protection of music in the US. the quicktime and wmp is free but not the flash...:-0
It absolutely kills me that we didn't think of this first. These guys are everywhere in LA. Great video, simple and profoundly poetic.
not a great video. boring, tedious, and more or less redundant.
"These guys are everywhere in LA.".
one question (from europe). What have the people to do? holding that sign 8 hours, or what? i mean... the firma can fix that sign on a wall or something like that. why they use people to hold it? could someone explain that to me? (i never see something like that in europe) i know people in costumes with flyers. but holding just a sign is strange. why?
weridly this same idea just got pitched for the new fatboy slim project by some cool new kids from la working with traktor.
they lost out to a cracking idea but i'm saying nothing more until we deliver.
Another question (from europe): why is london-based V2 Recordings still protecting their promo-video with copyrights? Is it thanks to their merge with Universal Music?
RE: Luk City bylaws might limit fixed signage in certain areas so businesses such as car dealerships hire people to hold signs on street corners. At some point, those people got bored of standing around so they made their lives a little more interesting by spinning the signs.
According to this AFP story, one US company earns between $5 million and $7 million per year spinning signs and has a catalogue of 200 tricks.
it's a ubiquitous ploy in LA.
