videoville - 361 videos and 241 directors strong - has just jumped servers and is now running on MediaWiki 1.12.

kevathens, which links are you referring to exactly? I can see both inside the box on the right, and they are working; but maybe it's due to a specific user role...?

once i'm logged in i see them fine. (what i don't see is the story, when i'm commenting on it. i take it that's a bug to be fixed? oh, and: that allow comments really should be checked by default... but i think that and the stories-per-page and recent comments-per-page might be issues that kris needs to sort out)

If this can help, here's an unusual behavior: when I click to read comment that is on the same page I am already browsing, the page is reloaded from scratch, instead of just jumping to the related anchor.

maybe this is a stupid question, but I am trying to search for antcast to subscribe to the video podcast through itunes and it isn't showing up (neither is a search for "antville"). Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
         
no-go: itunes never vetted it. you need to go into itunes>advanced>subscribe to podcast, and then just copy in the link http://feeds.feedburner.com/antcast .

Nevermind. I see that the comments now use a "nice URL" without the anchor, thus the new behavior is what is being expected.

antville 2.0 question- does this mean the front page is 4 stories? So someone posts a great video, and then some dorks post 4 shitty ones and that great video is bumped to the backpages?

Minor thing; but I feel like some great work won't get it's due because of bad timing. Anyway to put the old number of front page stories back?

The reloading of the page with each click on a comment shouldn't happen anymore.

Comments should be enabled by default in the story editor.

And could someone check if the missing links have re-appeared, please?

the videos.antville frontpage had about 15 stories previous to the renovation - 20 might be ideal (that'd be about three days worth of posts, given videos.ant's average); and recent comments featured were 40 - if memory serves me right.

main other thing: d'you think it's possible to be able to see the story and previous comments while one writes (and saves) a new comment?

(oh, and: how come so much text now shows in the recent comments list? used to be three four words at most...)

Hey Tobi, is it possible to have a separate box to enter director names, and have these automatically link to Videoville?

e.g:
The White Stripes "Conquest" dir. Diane Martel

most things fixed, thx to kris. search is also partly re-enabled, currently only finds text in the body&title of posts, not in comments.

videoville director-link and some other possible features are getting some thought. other problems/gripes/requests?
