The Gutter Twins - Idle Hands (Dirs. Warren Julius)
Not a split-screen

New "explosive" promo of the 03/2008 Sub Pop release "Saturnalia". Produced by Rabbit. Is this the american way of Stress?

Neato. I feel like it could use some titles, like "Scenes from the Raleigh Pyrotechnic Academy." And maybe give names to each of the devices they construct. -j

Sooo bad... Fell grossly short of my expectations!!! Wanna see a good promo? Try Stress from justice... This is a small idea with a big budget with a first grade build up to a climax that never delivers. Give me back my 5 minutes...
Aim for originality next time!

tho vacuous, oddly compelling.alfie37, July 3, 2008 2:14:29 AM CEST
Was involved with the project....Big budget??? Try less than $20,000! The budget from the label was less than $10,000... so at the very least - the video appears far more expensive than than it actually was.

if the budget from the label was less than $10000, where did the rest of the money come from???alfie37, July 4, 2008 12:37:08 AM CEST
If not the label then the production company might be a safe bet... "Stress" is indeed very good - and besides the excellent / über dynamic filmmaking and far more than $10 - $20 grand budget - a large part of its success is the socio / economic / political unrest / backstory of the Parisian suburbs and how that infuses everything we see in that video --- "Idol Hands" on the other hand has none of that as its backbone - it's just suburban USA teens getting their rocks off - which in and of itself is perhaps rather vacuous, but nonetheless enjoyable if you like seeing things being blown to bits.
