Motor, flashback. Dir. Hugo Arcier
Low budget music video i did one year ago for Motor. It's a very simple concept. I hope you will like it.

Very interesting. I watched it twice in a row. The shots of the car are mesmerizing and really match the vibe of the track.
I do, however, have to admit that I'm not a fan of the 'videogame' sections. Right now you have a compelling promo but it felt, as I watched it both times, that there was a truly brilliant video in just beneath the surface.
Perhaps it's my bias against the artifice of the artificial (not really into CGI and F/X unless they really drive the mood/emotion/narrative of the piece) but this promo is always at its best during the live-action sections.
Thanks for posting!

P.S - Did you use a model or real car for this? Some shots seem pleasantly model-ish (the awesome shallow depth of field) and some feel remarkably life-size.
Thank you for your interesting comment. i agree with you that the "live" sections are visually stronger than the video game sections but it was interesting i think to have the confrontation and interaction between both.
To do the "live" sections i use photos of a model. then i animate these photos using 3d and compositing. the road, trees are full 3d in all shots except one.
Cool, You have some awesome videos on your site as well some great visuals, one thing i will say, pixle vs flesh - Its and Aphex Twin (54 Cymru Beats) song not Squarepusher :D haha
You really achieved a great sense of speed throughout the whole video. It looked stylized but so fast. It's awesome that was a model. Do you mind if I ask what software you were using?
mmm... thanks for the info black_dust :) i will correct it when i will have some time.
grahamdunn, i use maya for 3d and combustion for comp.
Have to agree that while this video is more than passible, the wider "screen" type shots of this clip could use some mixing up. I'll be putting it right in front of Grace Jones' "Corporate Cannibal" in the mix for this weekend, so people WILL be seeing it.
Also, LOVE your website! Really strong stuff. Used a lot of it this afternoon to mix in my visual gig tonight. People really DUG it. Hope you don't mind the unwitting exposure.:?
Thanks.
This made me want to play Spy Hunter again. Very impressive use of a model. I think it really hit its stride about 3/4 of the way through. Good work.
